Hotel Policies

The Lakeside requires that a 50% deposit be placed on credit card in order for a reservation. Further cancellation and refund policies can be found below. Guests are responsible for any damage to the rooms or items in the rooms or on the property. Please maintain agreeable relations with other guests & staff on the property and respect the shared space. We have a zero tolerance policy towards harassment and maintain an inclusive space. We are located in downtown Wellington and we ask all guests to honour quiet time in all the public spaces and rooms between 11pm - 8am. Guests that do not adhere to the policies and regulations will be asked to leave the property with no refund. All outside visitors that are not guests must register with the office.

 

RESERVATION POLICY

4PM - 9PM  weekday check in, 4PM - 9PM check in on weekends during peak season | 11AM check out.
Office hours are 9AM-6PM during shoulder season, please arrange late arrivals & early departures in advance.

Sorry there is limited availability for well-behaved pets, please call the office to enquire about availability. 
Service animals are always welcome (papers required).
No smoking in the rooms.
We are not responsible for any personal items that may be lost, damaged or stolen.
We reserve the right to charge your credit card for missing or damaged items.
Bikes will be available for persons over the age of 16 on a first come first serve basis.
Canoes are available for persons over the age of 16 on a first come first serve basis.

Cancellations & Refunds

Once you’ve picked your accommodations and you’re ready to reserve, all you have to do is fill out the forms and get ready for your visit! You may cancel your reservation for no charge until 3:00 p.m. fourteen (14) days prior to arrival. If cancelled less than 14 days (336 hours) prior to check-in date you will forfeit your deposit (50% of booking). Any cancellations made within 7 days of check-in will be charged for 100% of the booking. Also in Addition if you have opted out on Room insurance you acknowledge that you will have have to abide by cancellation policy listed above and will be unable to make any last minute cancellations outside window for any reason I.E (Covid, Family or medical Emergency)Policy is subject to change.

*Add room insurance, $99 per reservation/room & be able to cancel outside cancellation window to be granted a credit to redeem within 1yr of booking date. Credit is for total cost of room rate upon booking minus the insurance fee. Balance applies to 1 future booking.

*For bookings made on or after April 6, 2020, be sure to consider the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and associated government measures. If you don’t book a flexible rate, you may not be entitled to a refund. Your cancellation request will be handled by the property, based on your chosen policy and consumer law where applicable. During times of uncertainty, we recommend booking an option with free cancellation. If your plans change, you can cancel free of charge until free cancellation expires.
